The team of eleven, which comprised eight labour hire contractors and three Arc Infrastructure employees, were all taken to Leonora Hospital for assessment and observation.

One labour hire contractor and one Arc Infrastructure employee were flown by Royal Flying Doctors Service to Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital for assessment and observation.

Later that afternoon two more people, one labour hire contractor and one Arc Infrastructure employee, were transferred by Royal Flying Doctors Service from Leonora Hospital to Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital for assessment.

By 8pm Saturday 14 October, nine of the eleven people affected by the lightning strike had been released from either the Leonora Hospital or Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital.

On Monday 16 October, the remaining Arc Infrastructure employee and one labour hire contractor were discharged from Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital. Both are expected to make a full recovery.

Our focus has been on ensuring these people have received the right medical attention they need and their families are well informed and supported.

We deeply appreciate the efforts of the teams at St Johns Ambulance Leonora, Royal Flying Doctors Service, Lenora Hospital and Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital.

A full investigation into the incident is underway.
