Murray Cook was appointed Chief Executive Officer at Arc Infrastructure on 1 January 2020.

Murray Cook has spent over 20 years developing broad business experience in the resources and infrastructure sectors. He was previously Executive Director at Arc Infrastructure following two years as Vice President Operations at Brookfield Infrastructure Group Australia, the parent company of Arc Infrastructure. 

Prior to his role at Brookfield, Murray spent five years with Brookfield Rail in the senior positions of General Manager Finance and General Manager Strategy and Development.

Murray commenced his career with KPMG’s taxation practice and subsequently held senior positions in operational, commercial and project areas at Alinta, WestNet Infrastructure Group and Fortescue Metals.

He holds a Bachelors of Laws and Commerce from Murdoch University and a Graduate Diploma in Finance and Investment (FINSIA). He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors

Paul Lowney joined us in 2008 and has led a number of projects including our Midwest Rail Upgrade project which increased the rail network’s capacity to support both iron ore and agricultural sectors in the region.

The success of the Midwest Rail Upgrade led to Paul, who has 20 years of experience across all aspects of railway infrastructure in both Australia and Europe, being appointed General Manager Infrastructure.

Now in the role of General Manager Network Strategy and Customer Operations, Paul oversees the Engineering, Planning, Network Control and Customer teams.

Jessica Tiwade was appointed General Manager People, Governance & Risk at Arc Infrastructure in 2021 after previously holding the Head of Governance & Risk role.

As General Manager of Governance & Risk and People teams, Jess is helping to drive a strong proactive risk culture by partnering with all functions within Arc to support effective risk management; the development and management of HR systems to support all employees; training and development of Arc workers; reduction of harm to people and environment; strengthening governance and assurance; and ensuring that all regulatory and compliance requirements are met.

With over 20 years’ experience, Jess brings experience from various governance, risk, assurance, compliance and accounting roles, across infrastructure, health and mining industries, including at Silver Chain Group, Rio Tinto and Clough Engineering.

She holds a Bachelor of Business with a Double Major in Accounting and Marketing, Graduate and Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and member of Chief Executive Women.

General Manager People, Governance and Risk

With nearly 20 years’ experience as a finance professional, Mark brings to Arc Infrastructure a background in financial reporting, operational analysis, risk and controls, business planning and budgeting.

Mark joined Arc in 2015, and has recently been appointed to the position of Chief Financial Officer, having previously held the position of General Manager Corporate where he was responsible for Finance, Risk and Compliance, Procurement Contracts and Technology.

He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from the University of Western Australia. Mark commenced his career in public practice at Deloitte, before a decade in the resource sector at Barrick in progressively more senior finance roles.

Nathan Speed rejoined Arc Infrastructure in 2019 bringing with him extensive experience in strategic management, sales and business development, customer relationship development, contract management and financial analysis.

As General Manager Commercial and Development, Nathan oversees the Commercial and Regulation, Development and Legal teams.

Most recently, Nathan spent five years in the air transport industry, as Commercial and Projects Consultant for Perth Airport, and Commercial Director, Asia Pacific with CHC Helicopter, the world’s largest helicopter services company.

From 2008 to 2013, Nathan held senior commercial roles with Brookfield Rail – predecessor of Arc Infrastructure – gaining significant experience in the rail sector across commercial agreements, financial assessments, budgeting, reporting and compliance.

Nathan holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours, with majors in Commercial Law and Economics, a Diploma in Frontline Management, and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance.

Daniel Ellis joined Arc Infrastructure in 2016 working in the Central Region as Regional Engineer covering the Central and Southern Maintenance Districts.

He commenced the role of Head of Maintenance Delivery in 2018 until his appointment to General Manager Works Delivery in June 2022.

Prior to rail, Dan worked in the building and construction industry where he gained extensive experience in project management.

After obtaining a degree in Civil Engineering at Charles Darwin University Dan pursued a successful career in the rail industry.

Dan has worked in the rail industry for 11 years in maintenance and projects, holding positions such as Project Engineer and Track Superintendent before commencing at Arc.
