Arc Infrastructure has engaged contractor John Holland to undertake rail maintenance on sections of track between Toodyay and Midland, which will require the temporary closure of the Morrison Road level crossing.

The level crossing closure will be in place from Friday 1 July at 7pm until Sunday 3 July at 6pm.

During this time the level crossing will be closed to all traffic and road detour signage will be in place. Pedestrians will still be able to use the level crossing under the supervision of dedicated traffic controllers.

The scope of works involves rerailing, track resurfacing and level crossing upgrades. Teams will be rerailing and track surfacing rail on both sides of the Morrison Road level crossing.

The maintenance will be carried out on a 24 hour basis in order to reach completion as fast as possible and minimise any inconvenience caused.

Arc thanks the local community and motorists for their understanding and patience while this critical maintenance takes place.

In the unlikely event that community members need to escalate a concern during the works, please contact John Holland Site Engineer, Raj Jhala on 0409 013 054 so it can be addressed immediately.
