Arc Infrastructure is proud to celebrate two of our people who have been recognised in a national campaign aimed at amplifying the stories of women in operational roles.
Arc’s Planning & Contract Services Lead Lee Ilic and Network Operations Analyst Taneeka Scaffidi have been recognised by NAWO on this impressive list of female operations staff. Nominated by their respective General Managers, Dan Ellis and Paul Lowney, the business is thrilled they have been recognised for inclusion in NAWO’s 100 Women in Operations campaign.
Lee has been with Arc Infrastructure for just over 32 years, originally employed as a Clerical Officer with Western Australian Government Railways (WAGR) in December 1991. Her more than three decade journey in the rail industry showcases her remarkable resilience and adaptability, which has allowed her to embrace diverse roles over that time.
In the almost three years Taneeka has been with Arc, having no previous specific rail experience, she has demonstrated herself to be adept at understanding and operating within the industry at an incredibly high standard. Starting as a Network Planner, she quickly demonstrated her ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and identify opportunities for improvement, initiative which led to a promotion to Customer Operations Analyst.
Chief Executive Officer Murray Cook congratulated the pair on being acknowledged in the sector for their work and contributions at Arc.
“Lee and Taneeka’s achievements, leadership attributes and focus on operational excellence are why they have been recognised in NAWO’s national campaign and we are proud of them both,” Murray said.
“On behalf of Arc, I’d also like to thank NAWO for providing an opportunity to recognise exceptional women in this field, to tell their stories and hopefully inspire other women to explore a career in operations.”
NAWO’s vision is to see gender balance valued and achieved at every level in operations. Its membership is drawn from nine industries that have historically had less than 25% female representation.
In addition to Lee and Taneeka’s inclusion on NAWO’s 100 Women list, Governance & Risk Lead - Program Management Systems & Reporting Danielle Honore, received NAWO’s Shining Star Award earlier this year. Danielle was awarded for her work on the design and implementation of the Critical Safety Risks program.
