Arc Infrastructure is pleased to announce that Bushfire Volunteers has been selected as the beneficiary of our 2024 annual Christmas donation.

Each year, instead of purchasing gifts for our customers, Arc Infrastructure supports an organisation providing critical services to the State. Past recipients of this donation include Patricia Giles Centre for Non-Violence, Hope Community Services and the Waalitj Foundation.

This year, Arc Infrastructure will donate $30,000 to Bushfire Volunteers to support the invaluable work of volunteer bush fire brigade members who routinely leave their families, homes, businesses and workplaces to protect their communities.

The Arc Infrastructure Christmas donation will help provide one ‘wish list’ item in the Central Wheatbelt, Goldfields, Mid West, Perth Metro and South West. Funding can be allocated towards in-person representation at community events, materials and equipment, projects to support the recruitment and retention of bushfire brigade volunteers, the communication of important bushfire safety messages, training aids and resources.

Though bushfires can happen anywhere and at any time, the Christmas donation comes during Western Australia’s bushfire season, the hottest and driest time of the year, when the bushfire risk is at its highest.

Bushfire Volunteers Board Member and Treasurer Shane Hart thanked Arc Infrastructure for the donation.

“We appreciate Arc’s contribution. Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades respond not only to emergency calls and local incidents around the clock but also deploy to support larger events across the state, interstate and overseas as needed,” Mr Hart said.

Arc Infrastructure Acting CEO Nathan Speed said the business was pleased to support the work of this vital organisation.

“One of the key focus areas of Arc’s community investment program is essential services. Bushfire Volunteers make a significant personal sacrifice and their dedication provides a critical service to our State, one that countless individuals and organisations, including our company, have benefited from,” Mr Speed said.

“We are pleased Arc Infrastructure can play a small role in helping Bushfire Volunteers support bushfire brigade members.”
