Arc has launched a new Supplier Code of Conduct (“Code”) to formally communicate the values, behaviours and expectations of our suppliers in the following areas:
• Community and diversity
• Corporate governance
• Environment
• Integrity, ethics and business conduct
• Labour and human rights
• Privacy, data security and confidentiality
• Publicity and advertising
• Workplace health and safety
The Code applies to all suppliers that provide goods and services to Arc, as well as their subcontractors.
Head of Finance Georgina Turnor said the Code supports
Arc’s 2022 Sustainability Strategy by embedding sustainability into the business’s supply chain and promoting sustainable practice as a responsibility that extends to all suppliers to Arc.
“Following the release of our Sustainability Strategy, Arc is committed to embedding and enhancing sustainable practices across our business. As the manager of the State’s freight rail network, we recognise the responsibility we have to ensure the sustainability of our rail network for future generations,” she said.
“The Code is a first step of a broader goal to enhance supplier risk and compliance management at Arc Infrastructure. Clear guidelines of supplier conduct and a strong vendor risk management program are vital to our role as the trusted manager of WA’s freight rail network,” Georgina said.
