Arc Infrastructure is pleased to announce the commencement of Gold Valley Iron Ore train services, with the first train running from West Kalgoorlie to the Port of Esperance on 30 September.
The first train marks the commencement of operations under the recently signed Track Access Agreement between Arc and Gold Valley, which will see around 1.2 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of iron ore transported on the Arc Network.
The agreement is linked to Gold Valley’s Wiluna West Iron Ore Project, starting with three return train paths a week.
General Manager Commercial Nathan Speed welcomed the commencement of Gold Valley services.
“Arc is very excited by this week’s commencement of the Gold Valley rail task, and we’re pleased to be able to support their operation through the provision of a safe, reliable and efficient service, as we pride ourselves on.
“Discussions have already commenced on an expansion of the Gold Valley operation, so we’re hopeful this first service marks the start of a long-term relationship,” Mr Speed said.
