Notification of works – Moondyne East
Arc Infrastructure is undertaking essential maintenance works on the Eastern Goldfields Railway (EGR) in the Avon Valley near Moondyne from mid-June to September 2025 (see map below).
These works are part of Arc’s investment in the rail network and will ensure the integrity and safety of the State’s freight rail network, a critical piece of infrastructure for the ongoing development and growth of our economy and communities.
The main construction works are expected to run from 2 September to 11 September 2025 and will be undertaken during a 110 hour shutdown.
There are no residents in close proximity of the works area, however due to site constraints the material laydown area will be located on Cobbler Pool Road in Morangup. Nearby residents may notice increased traffic and truck movements along Lovers Lane and Cobbler Pool Road from mid-June to mid-September. The vehicle route and material laydown areas are illustrated below.

While there will be no traffic diversions during the works, residents along the route may notice the following:
