Arc Infrastructure will be undertaking a critical upgrade of the railway line which requires the temporary closure of the level crossing at Toodyay Road, Middle Swan (adjacent to Roe Highway).
The temporary closure will be in place from:
2100hrs on Friday, 29 April 2022 until 1000hrs on Sunday, 1 May 2022.
A detour will be in place (the route is still to be confirmed), however the works are expected to have a major impact on traffic, including heavy vehicles, so we suggest planning ahead and avoiding heavy vehicle movements through the area during this time, where possible.
Arc Infrastructure is mindful of the impact the level crossing closure will have on local road users and has planned the works with a view to minimising disruption.
Our teams will be working 24/7 over the weekend to complete the upgrade as fast as possible, and the timing of the works has been planned outside of business hours, Easter, and school holidays to further minimise the impact on local road users.
Electronic message warning signs will soon be placed in the area to advise of the closure so motorists can plan ahead accordingly.
Please contact Regional Engineer Simon Topp on 0428 566 124 with any queries. We thank local motorists in advance for their understanding, and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
