Arc Infrastructure, the manager of the State’s freight rail network, will be undertaking a critical upgrade of the railway line which requires the temporary closure of the level crossing at Beaton Road, Southern Cross.
The temporary closure will be in place from 7am Tuesday 1 October until 4pm on Wednesday 2 October.
The map below shows the level crossing that will be closed.

The remainder of Beaton Rd (highlighted in yellow) is the proposed detour route for all standard road vehicles, with RAV vehicles utilising approved road routes.
Electronic message warning signs will soon be placed in the area to advise of the closure.
We anticipate only minor delays from the short detour.
