Arc Infrastructure has launched its first Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).

The RAP launch coincides with National NAIDOC Week which commenced on Sunday, 2 July and runs until Sunday, 9 July 2023.

NAIDOC Week occurs annually and celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

As the manager of the State’s freight rail network, we recognise our responsibility in progressing reconciliation in Western Australia.

Arc Infrastructure’s 2023 Reflect RAP is centred on scoping capacity for reconciliation and outlining goals around creating respectful relationships which foster social and economic opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the broader community.

Chief Executive Officer Murray Cook said the RAP was a significant milestone for the business.

“We are pleased our Reconciliation Action Plan has received endorsement from Reconciliation Australia,” Mr Cook said.

“Being able to share our first Reflect RAP is a significant demonstration of Arc’s commitment to the ongoing journey of reconciliation.

“We look forward to continuing to progress our work in this space and delivering on the commitments outlined in the Reflect RAP.”

Proud Martu / Nyamal artist and recipient of the Arc sponsored Kate Mullin Association Scholarship Fund, Shanae Tesling, developed the artwork for Arc’s RAP titled, ‘Connected Journey’.
