As WA Mental Health Week approaches, Arc Infrastructure proudly reaffirms our commitment to mental health and wellbeing through our Principal Partnership with Lifeline WA.
This year’s theme, Empowering Communities, Thriving Workforces, resonates strongly with Arc’s values and our ongoing efforts to support regional communities across Western Australia.
WA Mental Health Week 2025 (4–11 October) encourages individuals to take charge of their mental health journey, find purpose through meaningful employment, and foster supportive and connected communities.
These principles are at the heart of Arc’s partnership with Lifeline WA, which focuses on improving access to mental health support in regional areas, where services can be limited and the need for timely, compassionate care is critical.
Thanks to Arc Infrastructure’s funding, Lifeline WA has trained Volunteer Telephone Crisis Supporters who are now sharing their powerful personal stories in a new video currently in production. These volunteers reflect on the impact of their training and the importance of being there for others, especially those experiencing suicidal thoughts or emotional distress. Their stories embody the theme of empowerment and connection, showing how individuals can make a meaningful difference in their communities.
Lorna MacGregor, CEO of Lifeline WA, says “partnerships with companies like Arc Infrastructure are vital. Their support not only helps us train more Telephone Crisis Supporters to meet the growing demand for our services but also demonstrates a commitment to fostering positive change within workplaces. Achieving a vision of a Western Australia free of suicide relies on collaboration, education, and ensuring the right support is available when it’s needed most.”
One of the key messages this WA Mental Health Week is that support is available before crisis hits. Reaching out to Lifeline WA is a proactive step toward mental wellbeing and not a sign of weakness.
Recognising stress triggers, understanding your mental health, and having a safety plan in place are vital tools for navigating life’s challenges, particularly during high-stress periods like holidays or travel in remote areas.
Arc Infrastructure’s CEO Stephanie Unwin recognises the fundamental importance of mental health in building strong and resilient communities and workplaces, reflecting that “at Arc Infrastructure, we believe in empowering individuals to take charge of their wellbeing and supporting each other, especially in regional areas where access to services can be limited”
Stephanie states that, “our partnership with Lifeline WA reflects our commitment to making a real difference, and we’re proud to stand alongside them during WA Mental Health Week to shine a light on the power of connection and support.”
Arc Infrastructure and Lifeline WA encourage everyone to check in with themselves and those around them, not just during WA Mental Health Week, but every day.
