Arc Infrastructure, the manager of the State’s freight rail network, will be undertaking a critical upgrade of the railway line which requires the temporary closure of the level crossing at South Western Highway, Pinjarra.
Works will be taking place from 06:00am on Friday 2 February until 11:59pm Sunday, 4 February.
Motorists travelling on South Western Highway, between Paterson Road and United 53 Mile Roadhouse will be impacted by these works and need to take one of the below detours.
- Light Vehicles: Paterson Road to Corio Road to Lakes Road
- RAV: Pinjarra Road to Kwinana Fwy to Lakes Road
- Tri Drive 2,3: Pinjarra Road to Kwinana Fwy to Thomas Road
Local residents of Pinjarra should also be aware there is likely to be significant noise associated with these works. Every effort has been made to manage this noise impact, including limiting the noisiest activities to during daylight hours.
Businesses located on South Western Highway, including 53 Mile Road House, will still be open and operating during the works.
