  • Our rail freight network in the Wheatbelt region spans over 2,500 kilometres of track- from Perth up to Coorow, Mclevie and past Kalannie, and all the way down to Narrogin and Wagin. It also covers the line from Perth to Northam and Merredin, and out past Southern Cross on the Eastern Goldfields Railway.

70 local employees from our Narrogin, Northam and Merredin teams are responsible for the upgrade and maintenance of the busy Eastern Goldfields Railway (EGR) and a large section of the Grain Freight Rail Network, allowing containerised freight and commodities to be transported from the Eastern States, and playing a vital role in delivering WA grain to the world.

Our customers in this region include CBH Group, Pacific National, Mineral Resources, SCT Logistics, TransWA, Minara Resources, Cliffs Natural Resources, Indian Pacific and Aurizon.

These customers transport passengers, grain, iron ore and instrastate, and interstate freight across our network.

    our latest news and updates

  • We participate in local communities across the Wheatbelt region, and contribute to the Narrogin, Northam, Merredin and Moora Chambers of Commerce, as well as the Wheatbelt Business Network.

We're actively involved with our community partners and have two teams training for the 2018 Hawaiian Ride for Youth.

Over recent years, we have supported a variety of community groups and initiatives including the Wheatbelt Heritage Rail Project, the Merredin Community Show, WA Music's Sounds of the Wheatbelt and the Toodyay Music Festival. We've also sponsored the Narrogin Hawks Football Club and the Kulin Bush Races for the last eleven years.

Each year, our employees volunteer at the Avon Descent to supervise level crossings, ensuring the safety of all spectators.

Since 2015, we have sponsored a Hawaiian Ride for Youth team, with teams riding the Wheatbelt and Midwest routes. The Ride is an annual five day bike ride covering over 700 kilometres from Albany and Geraldton to Perth to fundraise for Youth Focus, an organisation which provides free and ongoing mental health services to young people across Western Australia.

In 2017 we had a sponsored team and an employee team who raised almost $110,000 for Youth Focus. In 2018, we will have two employee teams riding through the Wheatbelt and Midwest regions to discuss the importance of mental health and promote the services Youth Focus provides.

With many of our own employees living and working in regional
Western Australia, we understand how important the provision of
    mental health services can be.

our teams ride over 700 kilometres in five days raising funds and awareness for Youth Focus
